Bicester Motion – dazzling brand development

Branding | Design | Animation

Bicester Motion plans to be a unique automotive resort aiming to offer leisure, culture and tourism experiences within one destination. The brief was to develop the brand from an existing logo and apply it to signage, digital, stationary, merchandise and interiors.

Using elements from the existing logo a graphic pattern was developed and used throughout the Bicester Motion collateral to create a recognisable and sleek brand. The graphic was inspired by the dazzle patterns used in WW1 battleships, which are now used to camouflage automotive prototypes seen today.

Brand in use…

Alongside other brand elements, I was tasked with the design of a 25 metre long hoarding graphic to be placed onsite to mask a building construction. The large scale timeline graphic will be fixed for a year, so it was important to communicate with printers to confirm the materials and fixings required – being sure it was completed on time and in budget.
